A Guided Route Into the Armenian DLI Classroom
Every Armenian DLI classroom depends on finding teachers who bring both the credential a state requires and the depth of academic Armenian the program demands, and those two qualifications rarely arrive together on their own. ADLEA closes that gap by building a structured pathway in direct partnership with universities in the host country and in Armenia, guiding candidates from their first step through to formal readiness for the classroom, and standing behind every teacher who completes it.
Partner and Recruit
ADLEA partners with universities in the host country and in Armenia, who design and own the coursework that anchors this pathway, and works alongside them to recruit candidates into becoming Armenian DLI teachers through it. Where a university seeks additional support in shaping that coursework to meet its own requirements, ADLEA is also available to build it under direct service contract, but the pathway's academic foundation belongs to the universities themselves.
Validate Language Proficiency
Candidates are guided toward a recognized proficiency standard such as the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview to demonstrate the level of academic Armenian required to teach in the program, giving every candidate a clear, externally validated benchmark to work toward.
Verify and Endorse
Once university coursework, state requirements, and language proficiency are all in hand, ADLEA verifies the full picture and endorses the candidate into the program, while the academic credit and degree itself remain exactly where they belong, with the partner universities that conferred them.
Join the Registry
Verified candidates are registered with ADLEA as part of a growing pool of teachers confirmed ready to teach Armenian DLI in their country, giving schools and districts a trusted place to find qualified educators and giving candidates a meaningful outcome for the work they've completed.
Armenian DLI educators carry expertise that the field cannot afford to keep inside the classroom. The teacher who has spent a decade developing biliteracy lessons, navigating cross-linguistic transfer in real classrooms, and building community around Armenian language education has knowledge worth publishing, worth certifying, and worth sharing with every educator who comes after.
